Well, it makes a little sense, Billy. I used to work on one set at a time. Because if I didn't, I'd never finish ANY sets. Now that I'm going back farther, I'm letting my focus expand to the four vintage sets left that I want to complete (1965 through 1968 Topps baseball).
I totally get and relate to your opportunistic approach. It's led to fun purchases for me, too. But sometimes you just gotta make a push for one set, so you can actually complete something.

I can't wrap my head around only working on one set at a time. That makes zero sense. Why would you ignore cards you want for any reason? I'm not talking about because they are priced to high or don't mean your condition requirements, I mean not even looking at all.

Most of my best finds and happiest memories come from being in the right place at the right time and finding something I wasn't looking for.

I, for one, love the set & design! However, it is huge and was very difficult to finish quickly- the high numbers and the vast size of the set alone make for lots of searching. I don't know if it's COVID, or lack of big shows this past year, but I am finding it just as hard to complete 71. I will trade my extra 72's for 71's I need, have a few high high number extras including the Rangers Team Card & a nice slighly o/c Rod Carew.
