Today I received an Ebay win of a 2018 Hoskins Auto - and when I opened my package, found a 2017 Mahomes draft - even at the ungraded price, the difference between what I bought and what I received is almost $100. I am still waiting on the rather well-known card store to respond to my notice, but I am sure that I will soon, lol.
That got me wondering, what is the "biggest mistake" that you have ever received?

I received a Kawhi autographed jersey Spurs card instead of what I ordered. I complained and ended up receiving my crap card instead and returned the Kawhi to the seller.

Not really what you're asking about but the only thing that comes to mind.
20+ years ago I stopped by the ATM on my way out of town for Christmas with the parents. I withdrew $200 and drove off. The next day and a state away to the west I discovered that the machine had given me $300. Approximately 10 days later when I returned the money I discovered that it would have been much easier to have kept the money. Long story but simply put I felt the bank did not appreciate the "paperwork" which I created for them.

I'm still a bit ashamed that I didn't do anything to rectify it, but a few years ago I bought a Jumbo box from one of the larger online shops. When it arrived there were two in the box. I didn't let the seller know but refrained from opening one of them...for about 3 days. The second Jumbo was actually a much better unboxing than the first.

I have never had a situation where I received the wrong card. I guess I have been fortunate.

I ordered this LeBron James Hoops insert for two or three bucks and received the green parallel numbered out of 25 instead. Nothing else comes to mind.

Last order I made on Sportlots, I was looking to get some base set cards for a set I'm working on. (2017 Topps Archives) and one of the cards I ordered was not a base card, but a serial-numbered parallel. The player - Whitey Ford, the card - the Peach parallel (SN199). For the 18 cents, thanks, and I'll keep looking for a base card.

I once ordered a Garrett Whitley 2015 Bowman Draft auto card and received a Joe DiMaggio jersey relic card. While I was trying to figure out what had happened, the seller sent me a message asking if I had the DiMaggio because another buyer got my Whitley card.
As a seller, I once had about 100 auctions end on the same day and two of the buyers had the same name and lived in the same state. Of course, I sent the wrong cards to each. They were surprisingly not very understanding of the mishap, but eventually each got the card they ordered.

Always looking for baseball variation/error cards and anything Garrett Whitley or Ian Anderson
