I also collect Santa Cards, but Santa or his resemblance must be on the card.

I have a binder with the rookie card of each player on Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES. Some players don't have any cards so I put a team photo which includes that player from their first year.

I have a baseball Frankenset I started 4 years ago. It was an attempt to use some of the excess cards I have. The theme is empty seats in the background. Not totally empty. But noticable empty seats. Many posed shots from pre game or spring training. Portrait and quirky works. My first was Cookie Rojas from 1971 Topps #118. An action shot. It was that card tha gave me the idea for my theme. My second was the San Diego Chicken from 1983 Donruss.

If Flat Admin would ever visit me, I was going to take him to a place here in Watertown, WI. Merkle has a baseball field that is a couple of blocks from me near my kid's elementary school that they dedicated to him. I did check the plaque that they posted, it doesn't mention that particular play.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Baseball America and USA Today have both sponsored Minor League Player of the Year awards. The good part is they didn't start until the 1980s. So the set shouldn't be too hard to complete.
20-game losers since 1950 might be fun. Includes Steve Carlton, Phil Niekro, and Denny McLain along with the Brian Kingman types.
