The 1987 Topps set did it for me, especially pulling an Andre Dawson. My dad is a Cub fan So I watched Cubs games with him and I always liked Andre Dawson. I was confused as to why Dawson was in an Expos jersey, then my dad explained it to me. Since that set, I branched off into more baseball and football. 

The 2012 Topps Yankees team set. My Grandma gave it to me for my birthday, and I dabbled in baseball cards for a few years before really getting into collecting about 2016. Before that 2012 topps set I just had 2 baseball cards, both beat up cards a friend's older brother gave me: A Ralston Purina Eddie Murray and a 1990 Starline Darrell Strawberry.
