Someone on my local Facebook Marketplace is trying to sell a 1990 Topps Frank Thomas (not the no name version, the regular one) for $1900.

I don't have that Mantle in my collection, but don't think I can afford to pay the extra $79.50 for the protective case.

I saw this listing on Ebay. The players nick name is $10,000 kelly. The Boston Bean Eaters paid him $10,000 to play in 1887. The seller has it at $10 grand and make an offer at least.

$10,000 in 1887 is about $270,000 in todays $ with inflation.
