I spent two weeks in Italy last summer. I found some soccer cards at newsstands in Rome, but not a baseball card could be found while I was in the Amalfi Coast, Rome, Florence, or Venice. 

However, I did find some baseball cards at a restaurant in Florence!

Success! Thanks to your suggestions, I found a news stand and picked up a pack of Panini Adrenalin XL Road to UEFA 2020 cards. I got two players I had heard of: Christiano Ronaldo and Thomas Muller, so that's good.
