The university link you provided is to a site run by Dan Calendaro (sp?). It is community sourced database compiled mostly by the members of Vintage Non-sports Cards Chat. That group is THE source for vintage Non-sports information. Many of them, literally, wrote the book(s) on vintage Non-sports.

For all we know they copied off each other. I didn't go card by card, but from scanning through both lists they look almost alike. In fairness to the ellipsis, the college uses it, but not PSA. Some of these title look long and the checklist is going to look awkward when some of them are 20ish words. Not copying any abbreviations, heck I don't think there were any there. I'm fairly certin that I can do it up so that there is an ellipsis added, but in a more logical location (for those that are long).

Coming from a trusted tobacco enthusist I'll take those words to action. Thanks for the feedback everyone and I'll have a nice checklist put up shortly. BTW, did I mention I love having these cards in hand!

I think you did mention, but for something cool like that, I think you're ok mentioning it twice!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I think that's the most excited I've been getting cards in hand since I don't know when. Maybe pulling a Boggs rookie out of a 83T pack back in the early 90s.

Oh, I remember that one too!! You took a playful beating in stride, but now I see why. I can now see why people love these. Was always intrigued, never thought I'd jump in. Bid on a whim and now that I have them I can see past the imperfections. How much do I need for a Wagner again, okay maybe a Cobb or Young or Speaker...
In case I wasn't chasing enought things right now

Yeah, if it was made before the McKinley administration, it's super-cool to own it. I may never own a legit Cobb, but there's other things in life!!!

Not chasing those guys down, no way I can afford it. I'll avoid the sports ones for these. More of the flags series or some of the other military or historical based ones are up my alley. Probably be at times when the deal is too good to pass up.

Oh yeah. I love flag cards of flags that no longer fly. I love history before sports myself.
