Yeah, ya know, I'm tired of the BS,
1. I won't ask qestions, I will just list items I believe fit the standard. Since I've been told 1 item can be listed, yet another one can't yet they are both the same category. Why ask anymore, just IR away! You guys are paranoid, when I ask a simple questions. NO more questions.
2. Since nobody accepts the "gray area" listing of items on here, there is obviously no reason to even consider it. Just list.
3. Since nobody knows if a listing will get a "special exception" tag, Then, Why not try?
BUT
For the last time: 1] I will try and list if it is already accepted. I will not force a listing. Just add it to the website. 2] Obviously I will not ask questions, although that's what I've been told to do 1000x! 3] No need to comment on other questions, since my comments fall on deaf ears or get some garbled answer. 4] I will not IR anything, although I've been instructed to do so on all the "wrong" listings here.
Goodnight

If the magnets do get removed from the site and you have some I think I have a workaround. Store your magnets inside your lunch bags and then list the magnets as an insert set in the lunchbags!

Bob, you are arguing with people about something you never made a specific inquiry about in the first place! What SET are you asking about in the first place? THAT is what will determine if it can or should be added here or not. It doesn't matter what anyone else posted in this thread b/c nothing has been specifically asked yet!!! If you ask about a certain year and brand in a sport OR non-sport, there's a decent chance that it fits the description for inclusion. You really should stop assuming everyone is against you b/c they post in haste. Without any consideration of what the product could be, they could ALL be wrong and YOU could be right.
So, what magnets are you talking about that could possibly fit the criteria for inclusion? I am truly and honestly interested to know what you think is missing. There was a ton of conversation years ago about the mid-90's ProMag's NFL magnet cards being added and in the end Admin said YES. So what are you thinking needs to be added? DETAIL is the key when asking a question here. You can't ask a broad question with no info and expect a real response.
What I read in this entire thread is you asking if something should be added and everyone else telling you to send an IR to remove something. Something can't be IR'd for removal if it doesn't exist here in the first place!
Finally, to EVERYONE talking about things needing to be listed in some "price guide"... Drop that thought b/c it's not what TCDB is about and never was. TCDB doesn't care what is listed on Beckett or in old Tuff Stuff guides or in Wizard mags or any other form of so-called price guides or checklists. The only thing that matters here is that we can prove they are cards and create a real checklist and verify that information. As long as verified info fits the TCDB guidelines, it's allowable here and it should be here. (Although the recent Tarot cards is a stupid addition that should NOT be here).

spaz- I understand your post thoroughly. Did I put the cart before the horse? I was offered magnets by a member and all I wanted to know if magnets were listable. I don't even have them in hand. I just asked a simple question. The replies were paragraphs long, inuendos were made....I just asked a question, that is why I'm tired of asking or contributing anything, basicly like CAD said. Anything that's not a cardboard card raises the hair on everyone's neck, just crazy! Members supposedly in the know should be able to answer any question respectfully. Sorry but that's the way I feel.

Simple answer - Depends. We need more info to determine if fits the site's guidelines.

v3 and jason actually answered Bob's original question quite succinctly and correctly.
The next reply (grim25) is what sparked the discussion about IRs and specifically about sending in an IR about THAT particular set. Then Bob followed that up with a cryptic "hmmmmmmm?" indicating (to me) that he was interested now in that particuar set that grim25 mentioned. My "dead horse" post was actually aimed at grim25 regarding the questioning of a specific set.
No one was telling Bob to submit an IR regarding his original question - it was completely answered by the first 2 responses. IRs were completely aimed at grim25's followup example.

Thanks Dan, I would rather drop it. Do it my way, let the chips fall where they may. Much easier and less time consumed. To note, I didn't have more info to send, I didn't have any magnets? Just thought I would double-check before even accepting them. Done !
