Thus far in my short time in this hobby I have spent my time building sets while trading away any duplicate cards. Is there enough money on ebay to warrant posting high end autos and parallels for sell? 

I would say "Yes".    High end stuff sells, of course, if priced right.   You can always lower your asking price so don't be afraid to start out  at at least what you want to get.
