According to the box you get 190 cards.  So it would be $150 per card.

Conversely, if I saved for 46 and a half years to buy one of these, it would mean the cards of today would be the same as 1972 issues are to us right now.

I could buy literally any year Chevrolet El Camino or Edsel for less than that. And if I had that kind of money...I would! I've long debated the idea of stepping away from the hobby and saving to make my lifelong dream of classic car ownership a reality anyway. 

Yeah there's a lot more than the base set in the box.   Plus lots of giveaways at the party.  They do buybacks, stamp them, have them signed by the player, number them 1/1, and give them to the guests. Of course, they have been known to put 1/1 on cards they give out more than one of, like the Ripken-Bonner-Schneider that has several Transcendent 1/1's out there.
