Question folks, I
want to add a
set ... 1991 Canada
Cup, its a 22 card
set listed in the
Charlton but it has
card size listed is
8" x 10" which is
obviously photo
size. It was
produced by a
company called JL
Productions so not
sure where it would
go as a set eiher.
Any help would be
great.

Yes, I've seen them and would consider them cards. A set entry has been submitted. Give it a day to show up here: www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewAll.cfm/sp/Hockey/year/1991#Oddball. Then you can submit the checklist.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Wow thanks a bunch
so now to the next
one, I also want to
add 1992 Semic (as
listed in Charlton)
or 1992 Finnish
Semic (as per
Beckett.com)... not
sure what to call
the set because of
this ... but
making a checklist
would be nearly
impossible, is
there anyway to get
a checklist from
elsewhere, to type
all that would kill
me!!!

It really doesn't take as long as you might think. If you can't find the checklist somewhere you can just copy & paste, just break the monotony into chunks and type 30-40 lines, save the file and come back to it later. At least yours will be in the same alphabet you're used to. Try doing it with Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Those foreign sets on the baseball side didn't magically upload themselves.
I would opt for a more descriptive name than just 1992 Semic since there was also a Swedish Semic set in 1992. Maybe check some of the European hockey sites to see if they have a better name for the set.

A lot of help you
were!! LOL. This
place is so mind-
numbing for me at
times, I have SO
many questions and
not much luck
finding answers,
most likely me.
What does PID even
mean?!?! Why do
some players in the
sets I'm adding
come up black? I
presume it is
because they do not
have a PID and if
so how do they get
one assigned? Am I
to do it? Is there
somewhere I am to
notify? See what I
mean, it just so
overwhelming ... I
need a book that I
can buy to teach me
the ropes!! Theres
one for the to do
list ... make a for
dummies book for
guys like me!!

The guidelines seem to be pretty loose, as the Topps Coins, Stand-ups and Tripleheaders sets, among others are included in the Database. I am grateful for this, as their inclusion has made my player collection that much more complete.

Honestly, I think the threshold for inclusion here is basically any type of item that is likely to appear in a Beckett Almanac or Standard Catalog, which leaves it pretty wide open.
Sorry I wasn't more help :) This is the 4th or 5th site I've worked with helping to add checklists and scans, so it's just business as usual to me. These mind-numbing tasks help me unwind after work.
