Right now a Solid 7, but working hard towards a Solid 9 before end of 2024 . . .

I would give myself a 9, as I am always wondering if there is a way to improve things. Cardinals collection is sorted by year, brand, then card number. Lankford collection is in 2 binders sorted by year. Trade bait is sorted 2 ways. Base cards are sorted by year, brand, and card number. Inserts/parallels are sorted by year. My trade bait is small compared to most others, plus I do not buy many packs so it is easy to keep it up to date. I should be able to find any card in my collection in a few minutes.

I'd say a 9 if we're talking bout my Player PC's. Otherwise a 2. There's 90K cards sittin in my living room in boxes, another 8K in my office at work, and another 12K in my truck....
Anybody wanna help sort lol

I'd rate myself a 9.5, based on the following factors:
- My PC is well organized. I'm a NASCAR collector, so my PC is sorted by drivers I collect, then stored in my boxes in the Chronological/alphabetical order they appear on TCDB (the downside to this is parallels often get stored several cards after the base, which drives me a little bonkers, but whatever...lol). I do have some complete sets as well as some odd-sized cards I can't store in boxes as easily, but I know where they are and how they're sorted as well. These anomalies are the main thing keeping me from being a 10.
- Whenever I receive new cards, I get my inventory updated and I get the cards sorted and stored in no more than a day or two.
- Whenever I make a trade, if it takes me more than 3 days to get the cards I'm sending shipped, I start to feel guilty. I pride myself on quick, efficient shipping of well packed and well-protected cards.
- The only other thing keeping me from a 10 would be the two instances when I pulled cards and couldn't find a card I'd agreed to send. Once I found the card later and sent it. The second time was just an error on how many duplicates I thought I'd had, and was able to send another card to make up for it. This is out of 25 completed deals since joining a few months ago, in which I've sent a total of 840 cards. So less than 1/4% pulling errors makes me less than perfect, however slight. *shrugs*

In terms of knowing what is in my collection, I'd say an A- so give that an 8. I do have some stuff still to enter here, but I generally know what it is, so it stays off my want list and purchases. It would be higher, but my OCD tendencies require me to have a backup of my records, which in my case is a custom built Microsoft Access database. It's not as complete as it needs to be.
In terms of physical storage, a 2. Which is a function of limited space (card room ??? I wish, I can barely get a card shelf), and more due to being in the middle of switching from a purely player sorted storage to one that is team then player. It's lead to boxes that could be used for the new system being tied up with remnants of the old system, meaning way too many piles and temporary storage being used.

I'd sort your cards! Nothing is more relaxing to me than sorting random piles of cards while watching/listening to a Phillies game. If you can figure out a way to get them to Philly and back I'll sort them however you want.
P.S. I am only half joking about this...

That's funny cause the Philly stuff actually goes to Philly on occasion in blind trades. My twitter feed seems to be tied to the Philly area algorithm so I've gotta buddy I met through twitter who lives in Philadelphia. He's a fellow junkwaxer/Philly sports fan so I send him stuff. He sends me Braves & Cowboys.

I have a pretty small collection compared to pretty much everyone else in this discussion, and I'd rate myself a 9/10. My main box of cards is alphabetized by player last name so finding those cards is easy. Same with my separate skinny box of players i have a lot of cards for. However, my for-trades and cards in top loaders aren't organized at all, so looking through those can be a bit of a mess. Also, I still have yet to get about half of my cards logged on TCDb, which I need to do before I get my next big bulk box of cards for my birthday next week. But a 9/10 when the rest of my life is averaging around a 3/10 is pretty good. Need to find the Oswaldo Arcia card in my collection? Easy, just go to the A section in the box, it's marked by an index card. Looking for ibuprofen when you have a headache? I don't know, man, there's like 5 different places it could be and chances are it won't be in any of them.

In the physical realm, about a 7.
On here, more like a 3.

I saw the best cards of my generation destroyed by creases, soft cornered hysterical edge wear, dragging themselves through the hobby shops at dawn looking for a top loader...
