As a techie, I LOVE the QR code idea.

How cool could it be to scan a code on a star player to pull up a video of an amazing play or a funny video for that player?

As for my 2 cents...

1) Fewer variations - Whats the point when you release cards that are so rare 99% of collectors would be lucky to get even 1 of them?  Set collectors want to be able to eventually get EVERY card.

2) Cheaper cards - While I'd love to sett 25 cent packs again, I realize that would never happen but I'd love to see $1 packs so kids can get into the hobby.  If you need a full time job in order to afford to collect, it's shutting out any new generations from getting into it.  When I was a kid and went to card shows I'd see tons of other kids my age.  Now I go to card shows and if see 2 or more kids it's rare.

3) Fun inserts/subsets - Inserts shouldn't just be new versions of the same players.  Look for something to make them different from the regular set.  Artist rederings of the players.  The players in halloween costumes.  A subset of mascots.  Or even a subset with a classic player photoshopped in with a modern player.  Anything to make them something different that jump out so it doesn't just blend in with the regular cards in the main set.

To the OP, can we make this wish list for NFL and NBA sets in the future, too?

I would also add the following:

*Fewer variations, as in none.

*Limit the # of parallel sets to one or two.

*Inserts are welcome, like mascots, officials, all-stars(if not, noting them within the main set would work).

*Broaden the price points at the lower end, re-introduce long lost packaging ideas like rack packs.
