Like i keep telling everyone NOT junk!
There are walls to cover and tables to be made!
At least whoever acquires this won't have to worry aboout PSA or BGS as they'll come out already "slabbed"

Very unique find. That is honestly an idea I thought about when I was younger, but decided it might damage the cards and didn't want to take that chance. Anybody interested in actually acquiring the wall for their collection?

Not a bad-looking wall! It's yet another creative way to use junk wax cards. I'm surprised they were in such good shape, actually.
In the video, the news reporter took a little comical dig at some run-of-the-mill players, which is fine, but he made a mistake including Willie Hernandez in that group. Hernandez was a Cy Young winner, World Series Champ, and All-Star with the Tigers.

I did see a coffee table with cards on the top at a flea market. A clear coat over the cards. Like the wall no big names but was mostly one team. Do not remimber which team it was as I'm not into baseball. I asked my wife if I could do that with some of my Huskers cards. The answer was a big NO WAY.

I was in a sports bar out in Los Angeles once that had clear coated cards to the bar top. The cards were mostly Dodgers, Lakers and Kings. I thought it looked really cool.

I have been thinking about something like that for quite a while. I even did some research on the idea about 6-8 months ago. I thought about something like doing an entire wall all in the beautiful 1991 Fleer baseball. I'm not sure the wife would approve though.
I think I may have worked out an idea where I can seal coat them into panels and then attach the panels to a wall. I'm just not sure how to break the idea to the spouse yet?

I would do it first, then tell her about it after you're done. When she sees that bright yellow wall, how could she not love it?!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |
