I normally use Ultra Pro pages for my set collections, but came across BCW yesterday while online. Looks like they have 2 styles of pages, the more traditional vinyl pages and also plastic (polypropylene). Anyone have any experience with their pages?

A card shop once sold me a case of them after I thought I had ordered a case of UltraPros from him. He tried to sell them to me at UP prices, and I told him no way. He finally brought the price down to where it was a decent deal, but I don't really care for them. There was always 1 page in every box (10 boxes to the case) that was damaged. They don't seem to be as strong as UP.
The only way I will buy more BCW pages is for the shapes/sizes that UP doesn't carry. Just my opinion.

Stay away from vinyl, especially if you don't put the cards in penny sleeves first!

I only buy UP Platinum....I do have some BCW pages that I use because they came with a couple large lots I've purchased in the past. They're ok....but I only put my "tier-2" collection in them. I've noticed that they (BCW pages) tend to get a little brittle over time. UP Platinum pages stay nice and supple.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Anyone know what Ultra Pro pages are made from?
Dan/Chad,
Do you know whether the BCW pages you had were part of the "Pro" line (polypropylene - which Tom's article said is archive safe) or the vinyl pages?

I used to buy the BCW when I first started, but now exclusively use Ultra Pro. Any old BCW pages I come across I get the cards out and toss the pages. Many have become sticky or greasy to the touch. I have been told that Ultra Pro also will break down in time, but so far have not seen that.

Dan,
Those certainly look better than the BCW pages I bought back in the 70's and 80's. I an sure the manufacturing process and chemicals used are much improved now. Probably are equal to the Ultra Pro.

Better? - possibly. As good as Ultra Pro? - No.
