Hi all,

I have been tasked with buying a box of basketball cards for my 7 year old nephew, but, have not purchased anything in I guess 4 or 5 years so a bit out of touch.

While I am getting something for him I will probably treat myself to a box too.

For him I would be looking for a blaster box I guess as 50-100 cards will be plenty. His favourite player is Steph Curry for what it is worth (I will flick him down one of the Curry RCs I have so he doesn't completely strike out.)

I would be looking for a mid-range box, always keen on something that has an auto or two. 

Just looking for some recommendations as to what options people might recommend/have enjoyed opening and also where to purchase (will need to ship internationally to New Zealand).

I can buy a limited range in NZ if need be but prices are pretty high.

I would recommend Hoops, Prizm or Donruss. You get a decent sized number of cards, so more likely to land a Curry. Hoops has a lot of inserts of star players, and they tend to fall one per pack, as well.

Any particular online sites better than others when it comes to pricing/international shipping?

Billy nailed it and if you are going hobby boxes, I think they guarantee hits.  I've always ordered through Dave and Adam's, but not internationally, so I am not sure how that works.  Orders of $200 or more are free shipping, at least domestically.

Dave and Adam's has been my go to for years, but they are in the same state as me... albeit 7 hours away by car.
