Year: 1984

Set: Topps Nestle (Rate)

Card: #335 Don Baylor

“ I like all the Topps-made sets for other comapnies that used the Topps design. Squirt in 1982 etc. I love how they didn't change the cutout for Topps' logo when they inserted Nestle's logo. ” -Splinter_9

“ I believe he may still hold the record for most times hit by a pitch in the modern era. ” -deporcoruña

“ We need more cards like this for the Random Card of the Day. Classic!!! ” -carthage44

“ NICE. I LIKE HOCKEY ” -3482460680

“ The Sneak Thief. Known for stealing his fellow team mates Nestles chocolates!* Oh and also for being an All-Star, American League MVP to name a few. *Events may or may not have really ever happened. ” -YoRicha

“ N*E*S*T*L*E*S Nestles makes the very best choco... um Topps cards? Just like the Coca-Cola Topps cards these were produced by Topps for the Nestle Brand. Unlike the Coke cards which were usually team sets with totally different numbers, this seems to be a parallel set swapping the Topps logo in favor of Nestle in the top right corner, and the back branding. ” -captkirk42

“ Did these come with Nestle products? Would’ve been terrible to have one covered in chocolate because the bar melted. ” -IfbBirdsCards

“ I always thought it would be cool to own this set. ” -UKboogie

I was fortunate enough to meet Don at a card show in Orange County, California during his MVP season in ‘79. Super nice guy, got his autograph. Just amazed at his upper body strength.  He looked like he had been hitting the weights. RIP Don Baylor.

Nice power shot. No wonder he had 338 homers over his 19 year career.
