What is the upper value of a common card?

Whatever someone will pay for it, depending on rarity, age and other stuff. A common card from the 90’s isn’t going to equate to a common from the 50’s. Edited on: Mar 16, 2024 - 4:29PM

Yeah, you would have to be a lot more specific on the cards you want to know about as far as "commons" go. They can range from a penny to a dollar or more. It just depends on the years and brands. And then high-end recent products could be several dollars per card. You've got to whittle down the factors to get an actual answer.

I'll buy all the 1950 Bowman Phillies commons off of you for $1 each then and I'll sell you all my 1991 Donruss commons for 25 cents each.

This. I may pay like .10 for a flagship Topps common but a Topps inception base card I may pay a dollar for. Or one of those higher end releases.
