Greetings,

According to the data base, the Error card is with the pink and white stripes on the back going through the "Did You Know?" box all the way to the bottom of the card.  The corrected version is the pink and white stripes stopping at the top of the "Did You Know?" box.

The corrected version (stripes stopping) is the only card I need for a complete master set.  I have been looking for over a year on ebay, and on all the hundreds of copies of this card I have seen, I still have yet to find one corrected version.  All I ever see is the error version.  Even the factory set has the "Error" version (Stripes going all the way through).  I would say maybe it's possible that the "error" version is really the stripes stopping, but on all the other cards that have a "Did You Know?" box, the stripes stop at the top of the box on all the other cards.  It seems odd that even the factory set would have the "Error" version.  The stripes going through the box on the Deveraux must have had a ton of them printed.  The stripes stopping must be a very rare version;. I was finally able to find one on Sportslots; There hadn't been any on there until recently.

Any thoughts on this?  Is there any other card you can think of where the corrected version is much rarer than the error version?

I have two of the "corrected" versions available on my trade list.  I'm sure we can figure something out.  I found mine in cello packs with all of the other U.S.A (no dot) versions.

They are always in the poly cello packs (different printing facility). That said, you don't get 1 of every card per box so they can take a few boxes sometimes. These packs also contain the corrected McGwire, Eckersley, the error "Ripken" and a handful of other minor variations.
