1992 Pro Set Rudy's Farm Racing
I received a random box of cards to sort through and have over 100 unopened packs of these. Each pack has three cards, and you can see what is on top and bottom. I'm not a racing collector at all, so let me know if you're interested in buying or trading for sports cards (mostly baseball).
I've opened about 30 packs and have multiple complete sets built (excluding the 5 mail in "legends" cards). Or I have about 100 unopened packs remaining. Whatever you prefer.

Interesting.....
Do the 3-card cello packs seem to be a random assortment, or are the same three cards always packed together making five distinct packs?
For over 20 years Beckett has called this a 20-card set and indicated that the Legends cards were 'also' available as a mail-in from R.B. Rice. Your experience seems to indicate otherwise. Looking back at another price guide from the time, I see that the January 1993 issue of Collector's World Racing Magazine lists the Rudy's Farm set as having 15 cards.
Based on your observations, I'm thinking we may have a case for removing the Legends cards from the Rudy's Farm checklist since the R.B. Rice set already has its own listing.

All good questions! I'm not a racing guy at all and don't know the history, but from what I can tell:
-It's a 15 card checklist with the 5 legends card available by mail in. The cards are numbered to 15, not 20. So card 1 of 15. 2 of 15. Etc.
-The packs are MOSTLY collated the same, but not always. Based on what card is on top and bottom (the cello is clear), I could reasonable predict what the middle card with about 75% accuracy. Once in a while though, it's a card I didn't expect. My guess is they made a very lazy effort to randomize it!

The 5 Legends cards were definitely offered through a mail-in promotion from R.B. Rice. Do you see any indication that the mail-in promotion was also offered through the Rudy's Farm sandwiches?
It has always bugged me that those five cards were double-listed in the database. I think we finally have a clear case to clean it up, I just want to nail down a couple more details to make sure we fix it right. If the Legends cards were available through the Rudy's Farm promotion, then they should be broken out into a Mail-In set under the inserts & related section of the Rudy's Farm listing, and then the current listing for the R.B. Rice set can be merged with it and release notes updated to note the two sources for the mail-in set. If the Rudy's Farm promotion was only for the fifteen cards inserted in packages, then the Legends cards should be simply deleted from the checklist (after merging the collection info with the cards in the R.B. Rice set).

I haven't opened all of the packs, but I've opened A LOT and there is no indication that the legends cards are hidden inside. I can't guarantee for sure though that I couldn't pull one.

I don't have much on your want list, but if you want something you like on my list, we can work something out and get rid of one of your extra sets.

Thanks. I was hoping that maybe there was an 'offer card' in there that you hadn't mentioned yet.

Haven't seen an offer card inserted at all. I would have no idea the legends cards even existed if not for this website.
