Being that I reside in Northern Maine, there is 2 places only within a 2.5 hour drive that I am able to purchase any type of sports cards. Walmart and a local stamp and coin store which rarely orders any cards from the last 2 decades in. Problem I am finding is that if you aren't at Walmart the moment they open on thursdays, private vendors who do stamp and coin fairs come in and buy them all to resell them for more money on Facebook marketplace.
What I am asking is, could anyone recommend places I would have luck to purchase new football that is relatively inexpensive like Walmart is? Thank you

Sounds like it would be a hike for you but there's a sports card show in Dover, NH on Sunday, Dec 20th from 9 am till 1 PM. Here's the location if you are interested:
Dover Elks Lodge (Route 108)
282 Durham Rd

Hi, spent some summers in Skowhegon. Dad's faminl originally from Lisbon Falls. You can try ordering on line from Walmart. I am team specific, so it is easier for me to get my new base sets participating in breaks. I have noticed recently (the last few months) that half of the breaks are for retail products-by the case. It used to be pretty much hobby product. That is where all of the retail product is going.

I was Born in Skowhegan! Small world! That's just it though.. I just purchased 6 fat packs of Panini Playoff football at Walmart for 6 bucks a piece but Walmart.com has them listed at 20.00 dollars a piece for the same damn pack. I spoke with the store manager at our local Walmart and he explained that the reason the prices vary are due to sports cards are not stocked and maintained by Walmart but rather consigned by a third party source. Our local hobby shop was trying to sell 8 card hobby 2020 panini prizm packs for 80 bucks a piece yet Walmart had 20 dollar blister box's, while they lasted. I get hobby and retail are valued much differently but the disparity shouldn't be that damn much right?

I hear of these Breaks.. can you briefly explain what these are? I was always someone who went to the store, bought a pack and saved them. Have never sold a single card lol

Theres a shop in Portland. I dont know how far that is from you. I go camping in the Poland area every fall and some of the friends I camp with live in Portland. I'm guessing that's pretty far though.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I live in Caribou so a Portland trip is approximately 4 1/2 to 5 hours one way driving. Soo..
Also, I could be purchasing items on ebay but I'm concerned that I am paying more then their worth. Does anyone have any recommendations of places I could shop online?
