Sleeves followed by toploaders are the only way for me. I've found a lot of uses for old Card Savers, but none of them are for saving cards!

What is "mfrb"?

I sell mfrb's of toploaders for shipping cost if that gives an indication of my leaning.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I only buy top loaders. I have a lot of the semi-rigids from card lots that I have bought and do use them with sleeves for lower value cards only. Top loaders are the way to go.

Top loaders by far. I take the card out and throw the semi rigid away.

I only started collecting this year, and read somewhere that the Card Savers were "better". I had $$ at the time and decided to stock up on supplies and bought 2000 of them. Wish I had stocked up on top loaders instead. I will use the Card Savers, but prefer the more rigid top loaders...

Ouch! Sounds like you found an ad that pretended to be a real article. The name alone is the main reason that product ever continued to be bought or produced. They didn't even fit in standard card boxes at the time they were first issued. The only good thing to come from the "Card Saver" is bigger card boxes that eventually got to the size that they can hold graded cards now. The product itself was crap, but it progressed the storage "technology" to where it is now. I have all kinds of card storage products from my 30+ years of collecting. Most of my old boxes (cardboard or plastic) will not hold Card Saver sized "cases". But I have a couple of boxes that are perfectly sized for using those. I only use the Card Savers as dividers in those boxes, but there are no cards in the cases.
