Sunday, April 13, 2008Year: 1950 Travis Tidwell was one of only two freshmen to ever lead the nation in total offense. The Auburn Tiger, would lead the nation in total offense once again in 1949 before leaving for the pros as the Giants' first pick in the 1950 draft. In his rookie season, as a backup quarterback, he was put in a game with his team trailing Baltimore 20-0 and led the Giants to a 55-20 win. |
