Tuesday, April 1, 2008Year: 1954 You know about his numbers and accomplishments, but what you may not know about Hammerin' Hank Aaron is that before he joined the Majors, he was a pretty popular singer in his hometown in Alabama – even scoring a bit of radio play. Good thing for baseball, he decided to forego a career as a recording artist. Although, he never quite lost the desire to be on stage and was known to moonlight at Country-Western saloons during road trips through Texas.
