“ Weak design choice for Topps. They should’ve carried over that year’s baseball design to basketball, it would’ve looked a lot better. ” -pugchump

“ A very nice design for basketball, but it is missing something. Maybe the logo next to the name? Not sure. ” -muskie027

I'm glad my favorite team showed up for Card of the Day, but I'm not a huge fan of Jason Collins. Not because he's gay (I don't care about that at all) but because he refused to get offensive rebounds when the Nets were in the 2001-02 Finals, and almost every missed shot led to more points for the Lakers. While he's not totally responsible for that, he WAS the starting center so it IS one of the major parts of his job description. And then the exact same thing happened in the 2002-03 Finals against the Spurs. (sigh) The Nets got as close as they've gotten in the NBA era those two years but fell short largely due to the offensive rebounding problem. As soon as the shot went up they started heading back to play defense.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

I collect the parallels (Gold, Black, & Platinum) of this set.  I've found over the years that a lot of the metallic foil name plates on the front of the card tend to "tarnish" and change color and become somewhat of a cloudy white.  Anyone else have this problem?  I have never tried to polish one up and see if it fixes the discoloration, but would like to hear anyone's experience with this problem.

A nice card but the design looks much older than 2006-07.

One of my favorite basketball sets. When I returned to the hobby my cousins gave me a bunch of cards from this set.
