“ Very rare to get a minor league card of someone that made it to the majors. Strangely he never made it as a player but has been a manager in the majors pretty consistently for about 30 years. If you have read my reviews you know I am going to love this set. Even if it has a white border and several other things I usually dislike. I forgive all when it comes to minor league cards, especially older ones. ” -davidhandberry

My hometown team! I was born & raised in West Haven..but not until after minor-league baseball had left. I have this Showalter card but if anyone has other singles from the West Haven Yankees, A's, or Whitecaps, please let me know! Edited on: Aug 10, 2019 - 8:12AM

I just found my program from a West Haven Yankees game from 1978. I lived there for 25 years.
