Year: 2002-03

Set: Topps (Rate)

Card: #214 Robert Archibald

“ Spoiler Alert: He couldn't make an impact in the NBA. He played a grand total of 44 career NBA games, over two seasons, then toiled in the EuroLeague until 2012 (where he did find some success, and he also appeared in the 2012 Olympics for the Great Britain host team) The 2002-03 rookie class is one of if not the one that holds the most memories for me. The Topps set that year has never been my favorite Topps flagship but I still have most of them in my collection. The photo here on this card appears to have been taken at the draft combine, but it may have been the Summer League. Neither were covered in the media at that time so I can't be totally sure. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Nate he is not. I'm not convinced it's better to issue a card than to wait and get a photo with a real uniform, in a real game, with spectators. Who knew? ” -dilemma19

“ Nice looking card. Topps? Design looks like an early 1990s minor league set. ” -captkirk42

“ Poor Illinois. ” -carthage44

“ Great Topps basketball design. I loved these. ” -switzr1

Always liked this set. Around the time the NBA let Shinn move the Hornets to NO, thus I quit following the NBA.
