Year: 1983

Set: Topps (Rate)

Card: #55 Everson Walls

“ Everson donated a kidney to his team mate Ron Springs in 2007. That's first class in anybody's eyes. ” -addysdaddy

“ I don't dig too much stuff from the 80's but this seems like a decent enough design. You used to see that frame shape a lot back then, in general -- a box with some square corners and some rounded corners. When graphics went to desktop publishing, that wasn't usually a standard frame shape option so it fell out of widespread usage. ” -revnorb

“ Walls played from 1981-1993 with the Cowboys, Giants and Browns. Career Stats: 186 Games, 3 Sacks, 57 Interceptions returned for 504 Yards and 1 Touchdown. He is a 4x Pro Bowl selection, 3x All-Pro (One First-Team, two Second-Team), led the NFL in interceptions 3x (1981, 1982 and 1985) and won Super Bowl XXV with the Giants. Walls donated a kidney to former Cowboys teammate Ron Springs in March of 2007. ” -carthage44

“ Walls was a fascinating read during the lockout. He was the team union rep during the 1987 players' strike, and he discussed how the replacement players and regulars crossing the picket line destroyed the chemistry in the locker room, and led to the downfall of the team and Coach Landry. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ "The Catch",buuuuuurn!!! ” -SFC Temple

“ This is my team. I love the Cowboys. A great player who was never really appreciated no matter what the card says about him being in the Pro Bowl. He was a home grown recruit. Didn't know that. I love it when the player grows up and gets drafted by the local Pro team. ” -yokonashiwa
