Saturday, January 26, 2008Year: 1956 Billy Vessels won the National Championship in 1950, the Heisman Trophy in 1952, and was then drafted by the Colts, but went to play in Canada for a season where he led the league and was named Most Outstanding Player. Upon returning to the NFL, his career was cut short by an unfortunate leg injury. |
