My top 10 cards to acquire

TPB never had a card set and most of those who appeared on the show never had cards but what if you were given a stack of trading cards instead of actor headshots and had to cast the show over again? Here's what you would get...

The Indiana Hoosiers hold the record for most lifetime losses by a Division I team (713), and boast the third worst winning percentage (42%) of any Division I team with more than 1,000 games played. Indiana's last Rose Bowl appearance was in 1968 (they lost) and not since 1947 has a coach left IU with a winning record.

These players (and coaches) risked career ignominy before leaving for better opportunities.

Topps Texas Rangers cards of players who never actually played any games for the Texas Rangers. In scope are single-player feature cards in a rookie or "first year" status, it does not include multi-player draft picks cards. List is still in work, currently explored 2000-2023.

The collection includes cards from Australia, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, and the US.

Presented chronologically (but with the latest addition first), it provides insight into how card designs, teams, and players have changed over the years.

I'd be glad to trade for any card from any set that isn't already represented in my collection.

List of players who played for Nevada (UNR), my alma mater. These are all part of my Nevada collection. I also added a few local players from the Reno area. Not complete as I'm still finding more cards I don't have.

One card, usually my best, of each Michigan Wolverines basketball player or head coach in my collection. If they transferred in or out they still count (Michigan or pro uniforms only).

Currently the list includes a total of 53 subjects on 53 cards. I'll continue to add players and upgrade cards as I receive them.

A player with a "cup of coffee" is one who has played in only one game in the majors. These players got their Cup of Coffee and a MLB baseball card during their career.

It's apparent card companies don't have access to dictionaries. Their staffs must be filled with 5th Grade dropouts. The incorrect use of terms runs rampant in the trading card world.
For now the list is one example of a word's incorrect use.

I only have one left for my 2015 Donruss football: Card # 260, Kevin White. I've been hunting this card now for over two years now. It's very ironic that an avid Packers fan is hunting for a Bears card, but I'm a set builder just as much as I am a team collector. Anyway, no one has it here for trade or sale. Ebay has two available, but I'm not spending almost $14 for a bench warmer, especially when the available parallels on Ebay are significantly cheaper. If you come across it, please contact me.

Funny names and names that are ill-suited to a player's profession. Some you may have to take liberties with pronunciation.

I started collecting again 3 years ago after a long absence from the hobby. Over the last two years I was able to complete my Orioles base Topps collection using this list - https://www.tcdb.com/List.cfm/lid/10794/Orioles-Topps-needs. Now I am attempting the same with the other major manufacturers - Donruss, Fleer, Score, and Upper Deck.
Received 19 of 62 to date. Trades with zhouston03, hiflew, RAMONESRULE, borosny, MotownMike, and whacks_packs and purchase from my LCS The Dugout Zone.

One card needed to complete collection goal.

Essentially my best card of each Tigers player I actively collect (including players in other uniforms). Other players will get added gradually as I add more of their cards, especially recent Tigers, prospects, and vintage.

Buybacks are a great idea. But their execution is an ABOMINATION.
Who wouldn't love to find an original, unaltered vintage card inserted in their packs? Instead their beauty is marred; literally "defaced".
For now, only the most egregious "defacings". At the end of the list are a few interesting ones.

Each player’s card is from 2021 or the next possible year, except that multi-player cards, game cards and a few other types are skipped over and used only absent other options. Minor league cards are used as a last resort. I own each card pictured. The highly uninteresting rules are in my profile page, linked above.

A-Z with a couple of fun team sets grouped at the end and a few surprises for the super bored sprinkled in along the way.

One of my side projects is collecting an autograph from every player that has ever appeared in a Major League game for the Milwaukee Brewers. This list tracks all of the cards that I have acquired through the mail, in-person, or through private/public autograph appearances. A few were purchased. I have many others on signed baseballs, 8x10’s, index cards, and custom cards not cataloged here unfortunately. My preference is always to get the players on a Brewers baseball card but when that’s not possible a photo or custom will suffice and worst case a team neutral item such as an index card or single-signed baseball will do.

Was going through my collection of Bret Butler cards and noticed how many of them show him bunting so I decided to see how many different images/cards of him there are in the DB. Kind of cool that this was the focus of so many of his cards since it was an important part of his game.
