1979-80 Topps Hockey - An Homage by BucCollector Last updated on Dec 18, 2023 The 1979-80 Topps Hockey set was notable for several reasons. The Wayne Gretzky rookie, of course; and the final cards for Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Ken Dryden. The first cards from the four former WHA teams and the final cards of the Canadiens dynasty (and the Atlanta Flames futility).

The set included many great action shots and some bizarre portraits (see Terry Ruskowski). And I never get tired of the distinctive look, which has been reused a few times over the years. | ||
Debut cards for all 2015 first-time major leaguers by Mungo Hungo Last updated on Dec 18, 2023 Each player’s card is from 2015 or the next possible year, except that multi-player cards, game cards and a few other types are skipped over and used only absent other options. Minor league cards are used as a last resort. I own each card pictured. The highly uninteresting rules are in my profile page, linked above.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ See any mistakes, such as the card picturing the wrong player or misspelling a name? Or maybe a higher priority card exists but isn't yet listed in TCDB? Please let me know. | ||
Orioles Topps needs by Tscastle Last updated on Dec 18, 2023 I left the hobby in the early 2000’s, a combination of spending more time on work and family. When I left I had mostly complete sets of Topps Orioles from 1954-then, missing a few superstar rookies or multi-player League Leader cards.
Two moves and 3 high school and college graduations later (my daughters, not me), in late 2020, a new card shopped opened about 5 minutes from my house. A few months later I found this site, and I started to dive back in. My first goal was to fill in blank years, which many were done by purchasing team sets for the year. By January 2022 I was down to 68 cards I needed, so I created this list. In two years with tremendous assistance from many members here, as well as some great local merchants, both at 2 LCS’s and local card shows, I have completed my Topps Orioles (base set) collection from 1954 - 2022. (Adding each new year should be easier - just need 5 update cards for 2023). Received 68 of 68 to date. Trades from tinyzinterfere, CubinSTLsets, plevin, MattnMiller, ccook, Johnsogr, Sandycoach, doublee919, Puma1125, StLMike, Ymmat, metscardboard, bobberkill, glassnickels, vrooomed, jimetal7212, a PIF from FiresNBeers, a contest prize package from vrooomed, purchases at 2 of my LCS’s, 2 local card shows and purchases from tbart19 and jfcard. Finished off with 3 from eBay. | ||

Autos of Pitchers Who Have Thrown No-Hitters by Calleyoop Last updated on Dec 6, 2023 As of the end of the 2022 season, there have been 253 pitchers who have thrown a complete game no-hitter in the regular season or post-season in the major leagues. 35 of them have thrown more than one no-hitter during their career, and 23 have pitched a perfect game.

This is my baseball card and postcard collection of autographs from these individuals, including a few that have signed more than one item. (I've included an autograph at the end of the list that doesn't quite meet the criteria I have established above, but it is hard not to include it given the special feat this pitcher accomplished.) Members of the Cleveland Browns Legends Program by armac Last updated on Nov 20, 2023 From the Cleveland Browns team website:
The Cleveland Browns organization honors the team's all-time greats through the Cleveland Browns Legends Program. This program honors the men who have contributed to the success of the Browns organization. The Legends Program started in 2001 with the automatic induction of the Browns' then Pro Football Hall of Famers along with the initial class of five other inductees. Here are the basic guidelines for the Cleveland Browns Legends Program: The three requirements to be eligible for consideration for induction are: 1. Candidates will have played for at least five seasons with the Cleveland Browns. 2. Candidates must have been a major contributor at their respective positions. 3. Candidates will have been retired from playing professional football for at least five years. Starting in 2010, the number of yearly inductees was set at two. ----- My list will only consist of cards in my collection, with the players in Browns uniforms. ----- Legends missing from my collection: Tommy James - Class of 2004 - DB, 1948-55 Abe Gibron - Class of 2013 - G, 1950-56 | ||
Been There, Done That by C2Cigars Last updated on Nov 20, 2023 ☆*★*☆*★*☆*★*☆ MY LIFE IN CARDS ☆*★*☆*★*☆*★*☆ Stadiums/Arenas I've visited, bands/groups/performers I've seen live, people I've met, places I've visited, sights I've seen, etc. It's pretty cool how we can chronicle our lives with cards. Compiling this list I've been amazed at some of the cards I've come across. I'm inspired to get these cards and place them in a binder entitled "My Life in Cards". List is inspired by some other members' lists; such as switzr1's I Visited Their Grave, Gunny's Places I Have Been, rmpaq5's Stadiums I've Been To and Famous Landmarks I've Been To, Billy Kingsley's People I Have Met and others I can't recall. When I come across their lists again I'll give them their due. | ||

Every Royals player and manager, chronologically through 2022 by Mungo Hungo Last updated on Nov 9, 2023 One card of every Royals player, and one of every Royals manager, chronologically through 2022. I own each card pictured or linked.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Through 2022, the Royals had 962 players and 20 managers, for a total of 982 (including three who were both players and managers, so are represented here twice). List shows just 978 cards because the same card won't post twice, and these players appear on the same card: Dennis Paepke, Don O'Riley & Fred Rico Randy Bass & Jim Gaudet Manny Castillo & Tim Ireland ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The goal is to use a card of the player or manager identified as a Royal and in a Royals uniform. If no such card exists, I use a card with the next-strongest Royals connection, though some players have no cards with any connection to the Royals. I don't use team photocards, tickets or cards without the player's typewritten name. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ See any mistakes, such as the card picturing the wrong player or misspelling a name? Please let me know. | ||
