- Upper Deck released this set in February 2010 despite MLB Properties naming Topps the exclusive trading card licensee in August 2009. Team names were replaced with city names, and team logos are somewhat concealed on most cards, but it wasn't enough to prevent Upper Deck from being sued by MLBP and Topps for copyright infringement. As part of the settlement, Upper Deck canceled plans to release a 50-card series 2.

I found a thread on Freedom Cardboard, which lists 4x 2010 Exquisite baseball patch sets, not currently in the TCDb database. And suggests that 2010 Exqusite baseball should be a seperate release from 2010 Upper Deck. Apparently Beckett includes this set in its checklists.

This set is considered licensed. As part of the lawsuit settlement with Topps and MLBP this set was given a "license", to go with the one they had with MLBPA, and Upper Deck was allowed to liquidate any remaining inventory. | ||
