- The set was issued in two series. Cards #21-40 were issued late in the summer, and are tougher to find than the first 20.

Montreal-based, and then Culinar-owned, Stuart Bakery were producing a very popular line of packaged snack cakes, sold in boxes of usually 6 or more. For the 1984, Stuart issued cards featuring the players and coaches of the Montreal Expos. The cards were inserted in specially-marked boxes of the Stuart snack cake line. Stuart had issued a Expos set for the 1983 and later a stars of the MLB in 1987, while sister-company, Vachon, issued a set of Canadian-based NHL (hockey) teams for the 1983-84 season. | ||
