Trivia |
- The #290 Daniel Berthiaume card features an advertisement for Topps competitor Upper Deck in the background, so Topps tried to hide it by changing one of the Ps to a "B" but left the Upper Deck logo behind the net intact.
- A standard pack contains "12 Premium Hockey Cards".

I dont understand how this set could whiff so horribly on rookies. I randomly picked up some of these on the cheap just thinking generally there were decent rookies in or around this year, and there were great rookies -- Hasik, Teemu Sellane, and maybe two others, but none of these rookies were in this set. For several other cards, like Federov, Claude Lemiux, they show the 1991 Topps card as the rookie card and this set is also noted to be 1991, but the rookie cards were from 1990-91 and these are actually 1991-92, so it just confuses people.

I still have a bunch of unopened packs of this garbage lying around in various boxes.

I remember this set. There was a lot of buzz when it was released and I spent what felt like a fortune constructing my complete set. Boy, it sure turned out to be pretty much of a bust value-wise.
