My first pack of hockey cards ever opened was 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee. My dad bought me a few packs that day if I remember correctly and as an 8 year old boy I would of rather had candy. I remember that changing as I opened those packs, 2 cards in particular, I pulled a card with my favourite goalie Kelly Headey on it,and those same few packs I also pulled a Gretzky card, dad took the opportunity to teach me the potential values of hockey cards and went back to the store and bought some penny sleeves for my new cards. Who doesn't remember the cards in the early 90's being projected as an investment that will let you retire early lol We all couldn't have been more wrong.
