- The Santa Claus card was given out to card dealers during the holidays. Only 1000 were produced.
- Card #47 was originally William "Refrigerator" Perry, but it was pulled from production after approximately 10,000 copies were released since Perry and the NFLPA hadn't given clearance to include him yet. Bears teammate Ron Morris became the replacement #47, and after Perry gave consent, he returned to the set on card #445, which has the same bio as the original #47.

I gave this set 7.5. It’s a classic like many members have mentioned already. The design was fresh and unique to any cards of its time with the exception of say Score. Advanced stats and great player bio are also a nice addition to the card back. Over produced but not under appreciated. | ||
This was the first pack of cards I ever opened. I got my first raider card. Howie Long. After that I couldn't stop for about a year straight. Within 12 month I had over 2000 raider cards. That's how it started | ||
thanks to Shane (ebay seller talyho-enterprise) for letting me post a picture of the 1989 Pro Set Error and Variations Set and the 1990 Pro Set Owners Edition Series 1 and 2 in the packaging section, both sets are extremely rare and are very high on my wish list, unfortunately their cost is also very high which cancels out any hope of getting them soon | ||
