• Donruss Traded didn't do so well in sales, so Donruss decided not to continue it in subsequent years.
• While the Donruss "Highlights", "The Rookies" and "Baseball's Best" sets include a miniature puzzle that matches the regular set's one for that same year, this "Traded" set included a miniature version of 1988's Stan Musial puzzle instead of the expected 1989 Warren Spahn one.
