For this #46 card in the Ted Williams set of 1959, there is a variation card that has the image of an arrowhead to the right of Ted's hat against the green backdrop. It would appear that the version of the card with the arrowhead is much more scarce than the standard card with the pure green backdrop. It is possible that after an early print run, the arrowhead was detected and airbrushed out for the majority of the copies of card #46. In my collection, I have multiple copies of both the "arrowhead" variation and the standard card depicted below. Please contact me if you would like to see the scans.
