March 23, 1989: Traded by the Detroit Tigers to the San Diego Padres for Mike Brumley.

The factual text at the bottom of back of the card is inaccurate. The seventeen game streak is for consecutive games reaching base, and the dates were from July 31st to August 18th in 1982. At the time of printing, his career long hitting streak was 12 games in 1988. (He matched that 12 game streak in 1991.) |
