New athletes to my collection - Baseball (1000-1299) by Canadian Codhead
Last updated on May 30, 2023

My collecting goal is 1 card per unique player/team combination. This list documents new additions to that collection.

The dates listed on the entries reflect the date I added the card to my TCDB collection, not the date I acquired it.

To make the list manageable, split into chunks of 300 cards.

Wrong Photo by C2Cigars
Last updated on May 27, 2023

NOT wrong player photos, but wrong photos for the card's subject. For instance, an Apollo 11 card with a picture from the Apollo 15 mission. Is it a one-off or are there more out there?

Also, DOES NOT INCLUDE those vintage World Series, Super Bowl, Championship specific play cards. It's understood card companies had to use a representative photo for specific plays.

Debut cards for all 1999 first-time major leaguers by Mungo Hungo
Last updated on May 20, 2023

Each player's card is from 1999 or the next possible year, except that multi-player cards, game cards and a few other types are skipped over and used only absent other options. Minor league cards are used as a last resort. I own each card pictured. The highly uninteresting rules are in my profile page, linked above.

See any mistakes, such as the card picturing the wrong player or misspelling a name? Or maybe a higher priority card exists but isn't yet listed in TCDB? Please let me know.

1972 Topps Set Build Needs by TwinKiller
Last updated on May 14, 2023

As I am starting to get in to the set building craze, I decided to pick my favorite set as the first one I want to complete. I think a good chunk of these can be found at my LCS but if not, a note will be placed under the card and then I will eventually trade for it.

208 players debuted in 1998. List shows just 207 cards because the same card won't post twice, and these players appear on the same card:
Keith Glauber & Eddie Priest

1979-80 Topps Hockey - An Homage by BucCollector
Last updated on May 12, 2023

The 1979-80 Topps Hockey set was notable for several reasons. The Wayne Gretzky rookie, of course; and the final cards for Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Ken Dryden. The first cards from the four former WHA teams and the final cards of the Canadiens dynasty (and the Atlanta Flames futility).

The set included many great action shots and some bizarre portraits (see Terry Ruskowski). And I never get tired of the distinctive look, which has been reused a few times over the years.
