This list will be ongoing based on suggestions because I know I will have missed a ton, but I want to showcase nicknames used on baseball cards. I am excluding name shortenings and also keeping it to people from about 1950 to now, as that would make this list too long.

This list shows the 6 tallest players to ever play in the MLB. Randy Johnson, or the Big Unit was known for his size, but wasn't the tallest player ever, so who were the other giants playing baseball? Note: All 6 players happen to be pitchers.

I'm only 17 and I absolutely love sports cards, especially rookie cards. I just want to showcase and get people's opinion on my collection. Trying to keep list to my most expensive rookie cards.

Athletes who fought diabetes during their active playing career. If you know of more who have cards, please let me know.
In 2013 I almost died from diabetes, which I did not know I had, when it turned into Ketoacidosis. Even today I have still not fully recovered from KTA and am told I probably never will.

This isn't very comprehensive, I lost my .txt document where I had more listed and even deleted a few from the list, because I could not find their doppelgangers.

Since 2015 I have made it my goal to get as many different people into my collection as possible. With the gifts of fellow card bloggers I saw a massive increase in baseball, football and hockey players during 2016, and on January 15th, 2017, I hit the 10,000 person mark in my collection. Each person had to have actually lived on Earth at some point, IE, comic book characters and TV/Movie roles are not counted. Each person had to have a card all to themselves, no team cards, league leaders or shared cards. I have an Excel chart listing all the people in my collection, and these are the totals for each sport.

These are sets I finished off in 2016. I tried to put the last card I found for the set when applicable.

Let me start out by saying that I am a professional college graduate graphic designer and ex-graffiti vandal (since my last conviction). So I like to think I know a thing or two about composition, aesthetics and elegance. Now, I'm far from seeing and not yet have collected every type of trading cards ever made, but I like to voice my prefrence about the hobby, just as the next collector. Here follows a list of cards that please my eyes the most.

What can a collector do, who can't afford an atomic refractor signature jersey card #'d to impossible to get and valued at the equivalent of the national debt? Use imagination.
The rules of this list follows as this;
- cards can be of any sports, but it has to wear the mark of the beast, 666,
- something about the card has to suggest one of the seven deadly sins,
- one card/sin only.
Your suggestion for a card that suits better for a particular sin is very welcomed.
P.S. I don't intend to offend any player or collector, or suggest anything about them. It's just innocent numerology, and fantasy.

NBA and NASCAR only. I made a concentrated effort to get as many new people as possible during 2016.

Like last year, this is limited to NBA, NASCAR and non-sports. (mostly) I made an effort to get every NBA and NASCAR set that was missing from my collection during 2016, and for the most part I succeeded. There is one NBA set that is too expensive but I finally completed NASCAR in December. It only took me 24 years.
