The "Top of Topps Football" Wall of Fame by cnangle
Last updated on Mar 11, 2019

These cards are displayed on the wall of my collecting room. The display consists of one card from each Topps Football set from 1956 to 2015.

On display is a card from my collection that I think best represents the set. For most years, that's the key rookie card. For the years I don't have the key rookie, it's probably a HOF Vikings player. However, there are a couple years where a card has some special interest to me, '77 Walter Payton for instance.

I'm sure I will end up changing some of these out as I continue to complete sets, at least I hope so.

May 2018 Non-sport Pick-ups by cnangle
Last updated on May 22, 2018

This marks my fifth month of non-sport collecting. I've added '56 Sgt. Preston of the Yukon and all of the original Topps Star Wars sets to my collecting goals. I'm still trying to find my non-sport focus. There are a lot of cool non-sports sets out there.

April 2018 Non-Sport Aquisitions by cnangle

This is will be my fourth month of actively buying vintage non-sport. My vintage non-sport collection is getting a little more focused. I'm still buying just about anything I find in antique stores but I'm actively seeking all the Church & Dwight, Clark's Thread, J&P Coats, and Arbuckle's Coffee sets.

March 2018 Non-sport Acquisitions by cnangle

3/31 update: I closed out March pretty strong. I am way over budget for the month but I allowed myself a little extra because my wife and I went on a road trip to Devils Tower in Wyoming and we stopped at every antique store along the way.

3/17 update: This has been a month of coffee cards. I think that's all that I've bought this month. My wife and I did some antique hunting near Rochester, MN today. She found a lot of vintage books. I only found four trade cards...all coffee cards.

This is will be my third month of actively buying vintage non-sport. I'm finding that I am drawn towards trade cards more than tobacco issues. They are generally a little cheaper and the subject matter is a little broader.

February 2018 Non-Sport Acquisitions by cnangle

I'm already done spending money on cards this month. I'm already way over my monthly card budget. I couldn't pass up the complete "Bird Series" sets. The artwork and printing is so well done on these sets it almost looks like the birds could fly off the cards.

Edit 2/24/18: Went antiquing this weekend... I had to buy a few more before February closed. Who needs a budget anyway?
