Bengals In An Era: 2019-Present: A New Dey & Why Not Us? & They Have to Play Us by TheToddFather21
Last updated on Jan 2, 2023

After the 2018 season, the Bengals moved on from head coach Marvin Lewis who had been the coach in Cincinnati for 16 seasons. Before the 2019 season, the Bengals hired Zac Taylor as the new head coach. After the 2019 season, the Bengals moved on from quarterback Andy Dalton who had been the starter in Cincinnati for nine years and selected Joe Burrow with the first pick in the 2020 draft. The Bengals also moved on from other key players from the Marvin Lewis era: A.J. Green, Geno Atkins, Vontaze Burfict, Tyler Eifert, Carlos Dunlap, and Giovanni Bernard all within the first two seasons of Zac Taylor's tenure in Cincinnati and replaced them with a new young crop of players, Burrow, Tee Higgins, Jamar Chase, Sam Hubbard, and Jesse Bates III, clearly marking a change in direction of the franchise.

Reds in an Era: 2019-2021: Let's Go For It & Sneak On In by TheToddFather21

At the beginning of the 2019 season, the Reds traded Homer Bailey and prospects to the Dodgers for Yasiel Puig, Alex Wood, Matt Kemp, and Kyle Farmer marking the first time the Reds had added significant pieces to their major league roster. That year at the trade deadline, the Reds added Trevor Bauer proving that the Reds were serious about contending. At the beginning of the 2020 season, the Reds added a few more players including, Mike Moustakas, Nick Castellanos, Wade Miley, and Pedro Strop which made them candidates (and favorites for some) to make the playoffs and win the division.

This is a list of Cincinnati Reds stars. This is the list of stars that I use for my Cincinnati Reds binder. Different criteria are considered in determining whether or not a player is worthy including but not limited to: All-Star games with the Reds, playing on playoff/World Series teams, HOF, Reds HOF, and playing the majority of a player's career, or coming through the Reds minor league system. Does anybody else belong on this list? Have I missed anybody? Feel free to leave a comment below.

COMPLETED: 2000-2021 Topps Series 1, 2, & Update; 2007 Fleer; 2008-2010 Upper Deck.
I do not collect errors and variations, of the same player. I just want to have one card of each player. If possible, I like to have the COR version of a player's card rather than a ERR version of that player's card. The priority of trading for these is secondary behind the Star Player Binder and pretty high especially if I can complete the team set.

Reds Star Binder Needs by TheToddFather21

Cards I need for my Reds Star Binders. This is the highest priority to trade for. Since I am down to mostly SPs, Museum Collection, Triple Threads and more difficult to find cards, I have begun on building Team Sets and another Reds Players Binder.

The Misery of a Cincinnati Sports Fan by TheToddFather21
Last updated on Oct 2, 2020

The last Cincinnati Sports team to win a Championship was the 1990 Cincinnati Reds. In the 25+ years following, the Cincinnati teams have found the most heartbreaking ways to loose. Most recently the 2012 Reds meltdown against the Giants in the NLDS, the Bengals collapse against the Steelers in 2015, and the #2 seeded Cincinnati Bearcats blowing at one point a 22 point lead against Nevada in the first weekend of the 2018 NCAA tournament. In the words of Cincinnati Sports Radio personality Mo Egger, "At some point something good has to happen. I keep telling myself this. I'm starting to not believe it."

Cards I need for my Reds Player Binder. The priority in trading for these is pretty low. What I have of these now is mostly from extras that I had in my collection and I already have some of these cards in my Reds team sets.

We Needed That: Moments In Sports That Went Beyond The Field by TheToddFather21
Last updated on Jul 26, 2020

I'd like to dedicate a list to the moments in sports that were special for a city or country and lifted them up or gave them hope when they needed it the most. With sports returning amid this time when the US is trying to battle through this COVID-19 crisis, hopefully sports can give us something to cheer about again soon.

Reds in an Era: 2008-2015: The Comeback Kids & Clinchmas by TheToddFather21
Last updated on Mar 18, 2020

In 2008, the Reds completed trades to send Ken Griffey Jr. to the Chicago and Adam Dunn to Arazona. In 2008, a new core of players began to emerge. Edinson Volquez, newly acquired from the Rangers, won 18 games and made the all-star team. Joey Votto came in second in the ROY voting. Jay Bruce made his debut in May, and Johnny Cueto also debuted in 2008. The Reds won the NL Central Division in 2010 and 2012 and made a Wild-Card appearance in 2013. They're best opportunity to win was in 2012. Although they made the second wild-card in 2013, things began to fall apart, and in 2014 the window to win shut as they lost 86 games and came in 4th in the NL Central, and at the 2015 trade deadline the Reds began to trade off pieces including Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake.

Reds in an Era: 2014-2018: The Rebuild by TheToddFather21
Last updated on Mar 18, 2020

After making the wild-card playoff game in 2013, things began to fall apart for the Reds. They fired Dusty Baker after the 2013 season. After loosing 98 games in 2014, the Reds began to trade off players, Mat Latos and Alfredo Simon for younger players, Anthony DeSclafani and Eugenio Suarez. At the trade deadline in 2015, the Reds went all in with the rebuild, trading ace Johnny Cueto, and Mike Leake. The players on this list is the core players of the 'rebuild era.'

2012 Cincinnati Reds - NL Central Division Champions by TheToddFather21
Last updated on May 1, 2018

Starting Line Up, Rotation and key players on the 2012 Cincinnati Reds NL Central Division Championship Team. Although the Reds won the Division in 2010, this was probably their best shot to win a World Series in the 2010-Present Era. They lost to the Giants in the NLDS 3-2 games after winning the first two games in San Francisco. They finished with a 97-65 record.
