I personally bought the "BLACK BOX" version, and the photo quality is decent. The set includes 300 cards featuring mechanics, drivers, team leaders, assistants, and owners. It's a nice set that truly allows you to explore the world of NASCAR from the late 80s to the early 90s, especially for younger fans and a rediscovery for older ones. I don't know the difference between the red and black boxes, but I'll leave it to others to explain it better than me. In any case, if you're a fan of NASCAR from the 80s/90s, I believe you can purchase it; you won't be disappointed unless you're a picky person or not a true NASCAR fan, I think.

The 1992 Maxx set was produced in 2 colors. Red or Black. Both sets are exactly the same The update sets are also the same.
Not much to say about the set. I happen to like the black border better but that is just personal preference. Toughest cards to get in both sets are the Elliott Promo's. The sets are usually found in set form for less then $20.00. Do yourself a favor and buy the complete set, priced out individually the sets get fairly expensive.
