- Electric Ice were inserted 1 per Retail Pack, 2 per Jumbo Pack
- Electric Ice Gold was a parallel to the base set inserted at 1 in 35 Retail Packs
- Freeze Frame were inserted 1 in 34 Series 1 packs. Jumbo versions at 1 per Series 1 box.
- Gretzky Collection Cards #10-13 were inserted in Series 1 packs at 1 in 29. Cards #14-17 were inserted in Series 2 packs at 1 in 29.
- NHL All-Stars were inserted in Series 2 packs at 1 in 34.
- Special Edition were inserted 1 in 1 Hobby Pack. Cards #1-90 were Series 1, Cards #91-180 were Series 2
- Special Edition Gold parallels were inserted 1 in 35 Hobby Packs. Cards #1-90 were Series 1, Cards #91-180 were Series 2

The 1995-96 Upper Deck set was issued in two series totaling 570 cards. The set is distinguished primarily through the inclusion of a number of noteworthy rookie cards in the Star Rookie (496-507) and Program of Excellence (508-525) subsets. The Cool Trade Exchange card was randomly inserted in 1:82 series 2 packs. The card could be redeemed for special die-cut cards of Wayne Gretzky, Sergei Fedorov, Peter Forsberg and Doug Gilmour.
