Yup, Panini got lazy….again. All you have to do is put this 2022 set next to the 2021 set and you almost might mix them up. I like Lineman and off skill players added to the set but it’s not like they carefully chose who was put into the set. Inserts and SP’s are also much like last year. It’s like they said “ok let’s just redo the color and design on the 2021 and put that out as 2022….? Done!”
Well it’s kinda lame.
I’ll stop once I have the majority of rookies and any SP’s I obtain along the way. Otherwise it’s the same old stuff. Like a series 2 of 2021.

This is a very nice set. However, it does have some issues that I wish had been corrected before production. First, the set is sorted in team order. Several former members of that team are listed with their new teams, but sorted with their old team. However, there are several players who are just randomly inserted without any rhyme or reason. Second, there isn't any player information on the backs. I don't expect a full bio, but there's nothing. Third, the same picture is used on both sides. Come on. Put more effort into it. And finally, player selection is odd. You have your major stars, but some teams have mostly defensive players, while others have offensive. A few are mixed, but you can't say that they put the most notable player on each team, because no one knows random offensive linemen. It's just reality.

I do like the color of each card, and the layouts are nice. The rookie cards are cool in that they have blurred the backgrounds and made them a color that highlights the card. The cards are glossy and the photos are usually good shots. Overall, I like the set and want to complete it, but it could have been so much better.
