1993 continues the successful formula of the breakthrough 1992 set but with some improvements such as dropping the street clothes rookie shots and the young player choices seem to be limited to the more obvious prospects. Pictures on back are larger and the team stat formula continues as does the FOIL border variations for select young players. 1993 also lands another all time great RC...not just a HOF player but one of the greatest shortstops of all time (and another Yankee (argh): Derek Jeter. The 1993 rookie crop drops off from there with Andy Pettitte being the best shot for HoF but only getting 11.3% of votes this year.

As much as 1993 Bowman seems to be another winner it has the overall appeal of a follow-up album to a rock band's breakthrough classic. Where 1992 brought innovation, 1993 was more of the same but lost some eye appeal.
