Card # 205 of Mark Jackson, if you look to the left of the card, 2 guys sitting front row are the infamous Melendez Brothers, accused of killing their parents.

This is a very tough set to like at all. The only thing fun or cool about it is trying to find celebs in the stands in the background.

Geonkz, the Olajuwon card is not an error. He changed his spelling that year. Also, it is card 127. Card 281 is Derrick McKey.

The first pack of basketball cards that I ever opened was either a pack of 1990-1991 NBA Hoops or a pack of 1990-1991 Sky box trading cards. I can't remember which one was first because I bought three or four pack of Hoops and three or four packs of Sky box on that day, and that is why I can't remember which brand I opened first. Unfortunately I never got a good chance to complete any of these sets because I started collecting them too late and the store where I bought them began to sell the 1991-1992 Sky box and NBA Hoops cards before I could complete the sets. Recently I purchased four boxes of 1990-1991 (Series I) NBA Hoops to have a better chance of having the complete set. Too bad I never realized that there was a Series I and a Series II until after I got all four boxes a few days ago. I wasn't able to understand why I wasn't getting certain cards in any of the four boxes, until I searched for those cards separately and read something on the card's description about there being a series II. The good thing is that I have three complete sets of series I, now all I have to do work on getting the complete set of series II. Wish me luck people!

I picked up a couple packs of these and a couple packs of 1990 Score Football at Toys 'R Us as a youngster, and that's when I decided to start collecting cards. I then realized that they were also sold at Wal-Mart and it was really on, because we'd go there at least once a week.

After a few trips, picking up some packs, my mom suggested that I buy a whole box. Wow, 36 packs at once! I remember it was a weeknight and late when we got home, so I was only able to open up a few packs before it was time to go to bed and then the next day at school, the time just didn't move fast enough so that I could get home and open up the rest of that box. It was a magical time.

By this time, I'd gotten a price guide and it had the David Robinson card listed at $3.50 and I had gotten 2 in the box – I remember noting that that was half the price of the box right there. After sorting out the box by card numbers, I realized that there were a good bit of cards that were missing. I figured that those cards were perhaps not made or that maybe I needed to buy some more packs to get them.

Then one day, Wal-Mart restocked the shelves and low and behold, there was another type of Hoops pack, in a gray wrapper – Series I. I'd been buying Series II the whole time, which contained a good bit of cards from Series I, but not the whole series. So then I started buying Series I, and was able to, after buying about another box worth, complete the whole set.

Let's just say that I ended up with a whole bunch of these cards.

Some other items of note: this set was the first time I pulled a Michael Jordan. I still vaguely recall that joyous moment. This was also the first time I spotted an error card. While sorting through my doubles, triples and quadruples, I noticed that I had two versions of the Tom Hammonds card – one with a rookie star and one without.
