1995 Taco Bell Dallas Mavericks
User Comments |
The Dallas Mavericks teamed together with Taco Bell Restaurants of Dallas/Fort Worth to issue four postcard-size (3 1/2" by 5") "Triple J" trading cards. Individual cards were cello-wrapped and available at all participating Taco Bell restaurants in the metroplex for 99 cents with any food purchase. Ten cents of every card sold was donated to the West Dallas Community School and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Metroplex. The production run was 83,000 sets, with a different card being issued each week through February. Against a ghosted photo, the fronts display a caricature of one of the "Triple J Mavericks" by comic book illustrator Larry Webber. The player's name is stamped vertically in royal blue foil along one of the sides. The backs of all four cards can be combined to form a "Triple J" picture of all three players. Finally, a special "Triple" J ad card was distributed at the 1/27/96 Mavericks home game to kick off the promotion. Just 10,000 ad cards were produced. |
