- Reported production of all 1997 Race Shark products was 1.44 million cards, including 432,000 First Bite. This equals about 20,375 regular base sets, plus 1,350 Hammerhead sets, 675 Tiger Shark sets, 700 Shark Attack sets, and 365 Great White Shark's Teeth sets. The First Bite includes about 8,750 base sets, 400 Hammerhead sets, 200 Tiger Shark sets, 300 Shark Attack sets, and 150 Great White Shark's Teeth sets. The Shark Tooth Signatures reported 400 First Bite sets and a total of 14,000 signed cards distributed in the regular series. The total reported production would average 560 cards, but between 300 and 1,200 cards are reported for individual cards in this set.
